Fake Domain Renewal Emails

A client just phoned me today asking about their domain renewal. They had recieved an email from ‘Heart Internet’ saying  that their domain was due for renewal urgently and they had to pay immediately to keep it.

I asked if the link to the Website actually went to Heart Internet and they said no – though it said heart it actually went someowhere else.

And in fact the domain was slightly misspelled.

Anyway, i also pointed out theat the ir domai was looked after by me at 20i and was set to automatically renew safely and securely and in their name.

If you get one of these emails do not pay the fee, however scary they sound. Check that the domai is correct, check who you actually registered the domain with first, or if in doubt – give me a call and i can check these things with you.
